Piano music is beautiful all year and especially during the holidays. I have memories of Christmas time with my family and close friends gather around the piano and singing Christmas carols. There were several Christmas songs played on the piano that we love to sing along. I would like to share some facts about five of these festive songs that you can also enjoy during the holidays to come.

Away in a manger: First edition in 1885 Away In A Manger is a Christmas carol religious continues to be widely known and sung. Recent artists that have records this song is Martina McBride (1999), Linda Ronstadt (2000), Manheim Stemroller (2001), Jim Brickman (2003) and Toby Keith (2007).

Bridge The Halls: The traditional Christmas and "New Years carol Deck The Halls and widely known lyrics are of American origin was released in 1903 and continues today to be a favorite. The melody is Welsh and belongs to a song of winter, our Galan.

Jingle Bells: Although "Jingle Bells" is one of the songs and often sang best known winter in the world, it was written New England in 1857 by James Pierpont Lord during the winter of late 19th century as an optimistic song to help people's minds during the winter months. Both versions have now recorded by Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald.

Joy To The World: That said Carol merits Writing lyrics is believed to have origins of Handel. Artists today continue to capture the beauty and the words of the song that Whitney Houston, who recorded the song of Michael The Preacher's Wife (1996), and Bolton, who sang a pop version of this song at the concert of Plácido Domingo Christmas annual collaboration of Vienna in 1997. Mariah Carey has also re-recorded this song for her 1994 album Merry Christmas. And in 2008, the Jonas Brothers recorded a version of this song called "Joyful Kings" for the 2008 album Disney Channel Holiday "All Wrapped Up."

Silent Night: original lyrics to the song Silent Night were written by Austrian priest Father Josef Mohr. Franz Xaver Gruber composed the melody. The Bon Jovi recorded "Silent Night" as a single on their second album 7800 ° Fahrenheit (1985).
