It does not matter if your current hard drive has totally failed or if you need extra storage space for all your data, one day you can replace the hard disk that your computer has. You do not need to be a certified technician or an expert computer to be able to make a replacement hard drive of your computer. If you can use a screwdriver, you can open the computer case and make replacement of the old hard drive of your computer by a new one.
The first thing you need to do is transfer the data you want to keep from your computer to an external storage device. Disconnect the power from your computer, turn off and unplug all cables fixing.
Place your computer on a work surface that is flat and the release of static electricity that may be in your hands. To do this, press the ports of metal found on the caseback. Then release the plastic handle that is on the side of the box your computer and pull down access until it is flat.
On the left side of the box open, you will find current drive of your computer. Unplug the power cable and ribbon cable from the rear end of the drive.
Remove the screws holding the drive door to your computer case with a screwdriver. Tilt the drive carrier and remove it from your computer.
Remove the four screws located on the sides of the carrier that holds the drive, then remove the disk from the carrier.
Put the new drive in the carrier. Then tighten the four screws to replace the drive door is back in the case of the computer, then screw in the fixing screws.
Connect the power and ribbon cables to save ports on the back of the new bank. Raise the side access panel and bring it back up. Reconnect the computer cables.
Turn on your computer and insert the installation disc that contains the operating system and follow the installation instructions on the screen.
That's all you have to do to replace the hard drive of your MacBook computer. This effort has saved you a lot of money because you do not have your computer to an authorized service center on the Macbook to replace your hard drive.
