Improve your rhythm

If you're serious about your game, you know that rhythm is of paramount importance. All notes and agreements must be exactly the right place. While the metronome is a valuable tool to develop scales and exercises, it is quite tedious and less than exciting way to practice your parts of the song. Now you can play with real drum parts instead of just using the metronome!

This way of practice is much more exciting because it looks like you're playing your games with a band. You are able to hear the drum fill leading to different parts of the song and the nuances that make the song unique. It is much easier to play with a drummer with a metronome.

Types of Drum Tracks

There are several ways to get support drum tracks. One way is to obtain a drummer to record the drum part. Of course, this requires that you find a drummer who is willing to spend time recording. It requires also time to get a "perfect" live recording and spending extra time to get recording on CD or transferred to MP3 so you can use for practice.

A much simpler way is to use "midi" drum tracks, these tracks are saved by using software to enter the drum parts, then convert the drum parts for "Midi (musical instrument interface digital). This may seem complicated, but what it means for you is that you have a realistic drum track for any survey song that requires very little space to store and can be used in a variety of ways.

They can be open with iTunes or any media player and can be burned to an audio CD or even charge your mp3 player. (If you use iTunes, just put the title your library, then right click on the track name and select "Create AAC Version".)

Other uses of the Drum Backup Loved

If you want to track a more realistic sounding drum, you can load your midi file in "CakeWalk" or any other MIDI editor and apply different settings to make drums sound more realistic. You can also change the midi files to reflect changes that your group could use in the arrangement.

You can even use your MIDI tracks as backup tracks for the stage. These tracks will sound much better than the traditional canned beats on a drum machine and save you time programming the drum machine.

Expenditure

Because these MIDI tracks are relatively easy to write, they are usually much cheaper than other alternatives. Why not try a MIDI playback battery and see how they can improve your practice and performance?
