In any industry there are always some specific things that stand out. This is no different in the synthesizer industry. Some synthesizers that have really left their mark.

ARP Odyssey in 1972. It should be remembered for their alleged stealing of the original design Moog 4-pole. Needless to say, he became a rival Moog. It did not take long for the engineers to design their own ARP 2 pole filter. Once this was Combined with the duophonic then players have the advantage of a synthesizer replacement. Finally, the Yamaha DX-7 must be mentioned. It was the first time that polyphonic, excellent keyboard and a very cheap price is all combined. Programming it was a bit of a mystery, but FM synthesis has never caused quite the same noise ever since. It paved the way for other new types of synthesis.
